It’s officially spring. What are we doing? Not having a picnic. Not strolling through a park. No, we’re marveling at this marbled beauty made by Christopher Weimann, courtesy of our Norma Rubovits collection.

For this over-marbled pattern I wanted to capture the feeling of sunlight striking the ocean’s surface, the golden beams reaching down to deep sea, where the Nautilus drifts from shadow to shadow, pausing briefly to soak in some rays.

A riot of color characterizes this marbled paper book cover. We love the repetition of the large swirls and the flecks of orange that offset the base colors.

We’re captivated by the cover of the 1940 Report of the Florida Board of Control aka a precursor to the Florida Board of Governors.

Beyond being an excellent find, this book is an important record of the University System in our state.
