What I really like was how easily I could achieve a 3d look when I only had b&w to work with. But compared to my other arts it's less saturated and have that pop look even when I crank saturation. idk how to make it work.

Over-Saturation. There's nothing nefarious about it. if anything, Plok had advantages the crowded-field didn't have. Nintendo was super high on Plok and pushed it heavily.

It's like Beyond Good & Evil: sometimes good games just plain don't take off.

Years of limited palette screen printing and pixel art leave you with some funny notions on color, haha.

Value trumps hue and saturation. You can use any colors anywhere so long as the values are right.

chose the colors in procreate- they were much duller after export, so i went to PS and bumped the saturation. then i decided i wanted the whole thing to be more blue rather than purple, so i used a "color balance" filter to add green. then just manually changed some line colors
