My take on the designs is, they're moving to more articulated designs, switching out clunky elements for streamlined elements.
Ive been using the #tourbox from @tourboxtech for about a month now and i was very surprised at how much it streamlined my process! I work with suuuper basic tools so i didnt expect how much help itd end up being!
also Akuma's Misogi, K-Dash's double qcf+p super, and crack shoot. oh and burn knuckle. tho I admit, doing all this was taking forever and as you can see, not even REMOTELY consistent art wise. which is why I needed a streamlined process like I have now.
I don't know if this is a hot take, but I always prefer more blocky, chunky mecha designs to more streamlined ones.

Drew up a new reference of Bruce Kissaragi. I'm definitely happier with how his hair looks in this picture, and I streamlined his uniform. Here's the other reference from 2019 for comparison.

Like look at this. Toy Menasor is a clumsy, brilliant, blocky charcoal goofball and I'll love him forever; while Cartoon Menasor is a streamlined, cleaner, darker, spikier beast and I can take it or leave it. How the hell are you gonna please everybody? Happy for the toon fans 🤷♂️

I’ve also played with style a bit, which resulted in this illustration. Though while it was fun, I think I’ll stick to something closer to what I’ve been doing in the past. Just maybe a bit more streamlined for quick production. (3/5)

I loved my original take but I streamlined it a bit and really went for it with the island idea which I actually thought of after finishing the 20 look. Kicked myself for not doing it back then.
