The split-page storytelling technique is so uniquely "comics." You can try to do stuff like this in film, but it just doesn't work as well.

The thing is it wasn't just the writing it was the art as well. These were kinetic comics. People who ape Miller only take his shadow work(which is excellent) but they miss the power and movement of his work.
