Koto was inspired by a historical-mythological figure before I funneled elements of characters whose methods don't necessarily live up to their sense for justice - the ends justify the means, you have skeletons in the closet, secrets you can't speak to the hero you walk alongside

The fur is always challenging to do because there are a lot of possibilities. Modelling strand by strand using curves? Using a Fur brush? Still, I haven't decided which method to use, but here you have a sculpt of what I'm going for.
