It's #DeafAwarenessWeek and we know how important it is for all children to see themselves in the world. Gig, a character in our chapter book who is deaf, saves the day using sign language (illus: @Rosamundmcguire). We also have a deaf child in our picture book (illus: @SteveRT1)
I see people reacting positively about this watermark. I get why, reposting is a no-no.
But writing « learn to draw » is downright insulting imo.
You just don’t tell people « learn -to write, -a language, -to draw » etc.
