In times of extreme scarcity, firehawk broadwings will kick the tops off burning trees, & fly them to a new area to start a second fire in order to make small rodents and insects scatter, allowing them to easily feed. This is a rare behavior, but has given the firehawk it’s name

Nobody ever appreciates when I do little specks of light coming through the trees. That's the kind of attention to detail you just don't get in weekly funny comics like Garfield. This joke, like many others, could definitely use some tweaking after seeing how people interpret it.
