@altermentality There's just something about the intensity and scale here. I've always admired how Link squares up with tremendous evils, and the composition of this one really embodies that. Funny story, I ripped this exact pic from our old prima guide and cherished it lol

With the focus of your composition in one of the 4 corners, use different components (color, line weight, etc) to build towards that focal point!

My love of background art probs started when I was 14 and played Bioshock for the first time. I was OBSESSED w/ the design of the place. That first view you get of Rapture is such an amazing moment storytelling/composition wise. Like every level I would just stare for 20 minutes.

13. Typical drawing process
I'll use the previous one as an example.
a) I start with a sketch.
b) I add flat colours and maybe general indication of light and shadow, just to give me an idea on the composition.
c) MERGE EVERYTHING and start painting like a madman
