I love seeing updates like this that keep the original 'spirit' intact. Makes me wonder how they could've done the All-Stars sprites if they had based it less off of SMB3. Like if they would've opted for the front-facing body with the side view head

When I was into FNAF I made sprites about a Puppet creature giving birth to smaller versions of itself. It was part of something called "Honey I'm Home". But I felt that it was too much for a series like FNaF.

Now there is fetus Springtrap in official novels.

Stylistically, a big inspiration for characters sprites is mid-90s LucasArts, "realistic cartoon" as seen in Full Throttle and the cancelled Indiana Jones and the Iron Phoenix.

I'm using realistic proportions but keeping the high contrast shading. Works for me!
