I made three large paintings for my recent show and loved working on this scale, it seemed right for such immense trees. Really pleased that 2 have sold and now this one is back in the studio for a while till it finds its permanent home, so I get to keep looking at it.

Mizutsune's transparent scales refract light into many bright colors. Older scales that have been polished over time can be very valuable. Its fur is normally stiff but it'll become soft when soaked in bubblefoam. Darker-colored fur is more foam-absorbent than light-colored fur.
