The Lodge ('19)
⭐⭐⭐
A promising start, slow and atmospheric, simplistic and well shot; but it never really moves out of first gear. By the time the middle leads to the finale, all the good will it built setting up the story, falls a bit flat.

Most of my time rn is lost in the NDA sauce, but I've found some sketches I think I haven't shared? For instance: study of Tom Felton as Draco from BTS shots of the HP films. The crisp sleeves were really tempting 👀

Manga recommendation Witch Hat Atelier by Shirahama Kamome. Gorgeous panel and page composition combined with a slightly more "artistic" and sociological look on magic, Atelier is a definite essential for anyone who likes small-scale fantasy and Ghibli films.

Five n a half months of lockdown & no theatre release, led me to the fascinating world of Malayalam cinema. With films so rich on emotions, my admiration & love has only grown multifolds since then. Everyday’s been like a film festival, waiting for more...

Happy Onam !
