In case you think gritty alt-realities like Death Metal, Marvel Zombies, DCeased etc, are a current phenomenon: welcome to the mid 90s and Ruins!

I’m...86% sure that’s Jean on the left of this cover, but if it isn’t, I rescind this cover from this account!

Coming up with the style and palette for my Camp Fig Tree spites. I even plan to come up with different hair options for Chronic. God, something about these colors feel like midsummer and gritty. I can't wait to work on these in the future.

I have two set art styles

rough and gritty steambot

and

And it’s... odd. That’s for sure.

The gritty and ground world of 2007 as depicted in concept arts, featuring the cities of Damascus, Jerusalem and Acre. What’s your favorite area from the game?

GRrRrr 🦴🖤🕸 Making a little collection of more “commercial“ style work for my portfolio 😊 its so weird using smoother brushes with lighter colors instead of the gritty ones I normally use, but I totally get why this style is more “main stream” 💕

This is a reminder to people who think Batman should ALWAYS be grim and gritty.

He has a pet cow in the comics.

Bat Cow.

X-Men (2019)
Mystique goes on a desperate mission. Writer Jonathan Hickman, Artist Matteo Buffagni, Colorist Sunny Gho. Hickman weaves a masterful tale that unveils darker aspects of some well-known characters. Buffagni-Gho’s gritty muted art really establishes the tone. 5/5

Yegrette “Gritty” Potts, a witch with a past of narcotics and betrayal. Commission for for his wife! This one was a blast and I’m super happy with how it came out.

At this point, Gritty Crowley here seriously doesn't need those glasses. Damn demon just straight up flex the eyes left and right.
