There isn't enough geo to support the shapes and the design is undercooked but I think these tools could be a really nice part of my concept workflow, especially in regards to making 3D roughs for prototyping. RizomUV (among others) makes UVs pretty painless.

The Largest forms/silhouettes tend to be the "First Read". Translation: The large shapes deliver the large story. This makes them super important to design-with-care.

This is probably going to be the last WIP, but I just wanted to show how shapes/colors come together with some persistence! Still rough (too muted + murky), but it's progress!

Since I use Paint, I can't really think in terms of layers, which is interesting.

Quickly made a cargo container on wheels I had already planned out for a panel, but re-did it with these new primitive shapes.

I like how you can pick whatever color you want for them, and adjust how many lines show up on them to best guide your drawing.

a lot of the masks have the lower fangs SO i put them on the top instead as horns, along with just bigger, 'friendlier' shapes like the comma - eyes; there'll still be sharp edges, but it's not as aggressive as ... these ... (credit to lastlabryinth @ tumblr!)

when I was a kid, one of my favourite books was on speculative zoology/evolution. I loved the illustrations, the concepts, the shapes and colors. I borrowed it so often and for so long from school they had to chase me up on returning it several times -

this is my oc Honey! she's a half-shapeshifter demon and she's just a big babie who loves cuddles and everything pink!
fun fact: she smells like strawberries (like the bear from toy story 3 but not evil)

Cloud practice! To the left is the base sketch of the cloud. Feel like the latter two turned out much better, as I changed to working with forms rather than shapes.

Love this funky - the wing shapes look like cut paper. I'm not sure if its birds or battling dragons, but it's great writing inspiration!

I tried to make Flansito more interesting but I'm still not sure how to apply shapes and silhouette very well on character design 😳

GM I worked on this new collection of 7
"Chroma Paradox"
https://t.co/dSdxLQaVuc

This collection is about colors, shades and tints and the emotions they invoke in each and every one of us. It's about lines and shapes that converge to express feelings that dwell deep within us!

☁️ QRT your cloud art! ☁️

There's something both extremely fun and calming about drawing/painting clouds, their diversity in shapes and colours makes it an easy, low-stress low-stakes way to experiment with art styles 😌💭💛 https://t.co/NoCesgcjwK

(I've also theorized that Monga, the blob from Birth, may find its origin in the titular frog - see this impact frame from Gaiking where you have both a frog and some very Monga-like shapes)
