Redraw of an illustration I did recently 🐶 The original drawing felt very stiff so I tried to make the illustration part of a story instead. I enjoyed the process and quite like the result :)

I was thinking, something striking about Art of Fighting 3's style is that it's gorgeous but also very stiff. Idle animations look like they're just standing around. I like it personally, but it's very different from the dynamic animations in other games.

Last couple years of fandom life have been fun :3 before that I was making exactly Zero Art for myself for quite a while so I often feel very stiff drawing non-work stuff. Feels great enjoying doodling for myself again tho

I try to go for the manga version of his eyes and I always struggle with the shape and it comes off too stiff. Hori seems to like hiding the corners of his eyes in his hair placement. Which maybe I’m the last to notice this haha 😂 but now I’ll try to do that.

working on facial expressions for remake's Arc. lots on the to-do list, normals might need some tune ups. hair isnt prepped for movement so is stiff in these shots. also, no ahoge. gonna do an animated series of expressions to see how it looks in motion.
