Armalyte was like Shadow of the Beast in the early Amiga days.. It was the game you put on to show off how awesome the C64 was. 👍 But, unlike Beast, there was some awesome underlying gameplay to keep it interesting. 😁

The basic gameplay reminds of Elevator Action, if you didn't have elevators. 😁 The gun you start with will get the job done, but you go into the right door and get the machine-gun, then you start to feel really powerful. (Which is usually when I do something risky, then die.) 😋

I remember when I first saw a Rolling Thunder cab. It was a stunning looking game, and I love the art style used for drawing the characters. The main guy looks like something out an anime show. Nothing earth-shattering to the gameplay, but it was well tuned to challenge you. 👍
