Trying to get back into likeness sculpting again, getting pretty rusty. Kinda wish I used procedurals for the beard and mustache too instead of just scribbling them on with vertex paint, but not bad for a one off I suppose! Eevee, Blender 2.9!

Question for my 3D wiz mutuals, if one is to go about modeling a stylized low/mid poly tree in Max, would it be easier to model the tree first and then texture it
Or would it be easier to paint the tree and make cut lines and ‘extrude’ or pull on the verts and edges?
