Oh! I would love to have feedback, if you have the time?!

This is something I did last year that started just as an outfit ref, but then I wanted to add a background. Not very planned out. Compositionally, I feel it's lacking, but I'm not sure how to fix it if/when I try again.

I didn't have the focus to do a painting OF something (stressful day), but I did manage to do an abstract composition by dripping paint onto wet paper and sprinkling salt. Seems like a reasonable tie-in to the prompt of the day -#spontaneous

This is a great example of the difference between a quick snap & a quality image.

It's the lighting, styling, & composition - they tell a story (hint: it's not eggs on a table!)

Fair compensation for creators supports creating quality work

I start out creating various monochromatic compositions which I then experiment with over and over until finding a composition I like. I look at wildlife photos of pelagic fish as well as paintings by the amazing artist Stanley Meltzoff for inspiration.

There was this lovely picture on reddit that I really wanted to draw.

Although this was a fun composition, I had absolutely no idea how to deal with the water 😅

Does anyone have any [advice] to share?

As always, keep on keeping on (and remember to drink lots of water!) :)

Working on this as I adjust my brush settings to make sure everything is how I need it. I honestly do like these simpler compositions from time to time

The composition of this gorgeous anime fan art makes it a quick-fave, with aspects in both the foreground and background centering the focus.
