Tip: I like to apply a very light vignette when I feel that my color/lighting looks flat. A cheap little trick that's hardly noticeable but adds so much depth to the piece.

My tip is that i most of the time use the warm colours for the light and the cold for the dark. And play with tone curve 😉 hope it'll help to someone
