Knowing some big series will end in the next 1-2 years the magazine will stay like this for a while.
You can say that this era is weaker and it's kinda true but it's the reality. Jump can't cancel current series because there's no reason to axed them with the state they are in.
Will the magazine stay forever like this?
No I don't think so, if the magazine gets the lineup stacked again with hit after hit it will be back to the 2010s where it will have high standards for new series and it will be harder for current series to survive.
It sounds crazy but today's era is the easiest way to get into Jump due to the lack of hits, if you sell less than 5k then you will get axed obviously.
So series like Dr Stone and Black Clover that sell above 150k each volume are more than safe in the magazine.
If Magico was running in the magazine today maybe it could've survived and if UU was in the magazine back then it probably won't but we will never know. But now you guys have an idea of how the magazine worked back then when talking about new series.
Why did this happen?
Due to the lineup of the magazine:
In the 2010s the magazine was stacked with hits, which makes it harder for new series to survive and stand out from the others. Compared to 2022 is waaay different.
@Toukochan Just saw the chapter in question. It's definitely because it involves some characters that look younger than usual (3 and 4) but the content pretty tame, and it's censored in the magazine anyway. Plotwise, a side character does actually discover the identity the MC.
Se informó que el mangaka Ken Akamatsu ha empezado a escribir el capítulo final de su obra 'UQ Holder!', el cual será publicado el próximo 9 de febrero en la Bessatsu Shonen Magazine.

You all know I love how Delenn/Lennier flips gender roles, but they're still both very femme. Needed to know how butch!Delenn would look like.
