i kinda use multiply when shading and overlay my drawing on a fading background
it makes it look good
1- No overlay 2- Overlay
Both have multiply and for lighting i dont add too much but all i rlly need is a shine on the eyes using add layers

him. basically origins style with some modern flair. the three-tone shading/lighting setup would almost certainly cost too much for a regularly-budgeted tv animated project but we're still pie-in-the-sky-ing here

@Danteeclair idk if i can be much help because i almost exclusively use warm tones whenever i draw him. i find dark grays more difficult to find complementary colors and this gives you more to work with when it comes to shadows and lighting. even they "whites" arent actually white
