For irises: Clip a layer and make a pupil. Then add another layer (unclipped) to make an outline, use a darker color. Then clip a layer again, pick a color between those two and shade half of the iris, leave the tips faded.

10. With a layer on top of the outline, if you want to paint line-less, use color picker and paint over the lines. Edges are usually darker because of shape and how light scatters on skin.

Anyways notice the shading on Alexa’s body here—you’ll note that there are usually two tones, with a sort of half-opacity border separating tones/base colors. The way I like to do this is with two multiply layers, the lighter one purple and the darker one blue.

tried something a little different with this: only used 6 different markers (in pairs of light colour/darker colour). i didn't want to go crazy with a background because i wasn't sure how this would turn out but i do like red/gold/black as a colour combo
