I actually might have figured out what's going on with its head shape. It fits Scott Hartman's skeletal drawing almost perfectly, but it seems they kept the silhouette shape despite the mouth being open in the skeletal.

did a little bit more shading on day 8 after finishing day 9. after sketching i figured i'd just take a bit more time to do the colouring and shading today for a change. I do now see a few misses on the knuckles tho. They should've protruded a bit more.

they're very tired a lot of the time & they eat ghosts, & are able to shapeshift to an extent (tho they'll always have the same markings & tail shape)

very productive day! did some studies on how to paint the skin. Finally figured out why my skin paintings looked wrong. It is better to make a cut and then blend it to make it more smoother. For comparison, image 1 > image 2. (pay no attention to the ugly ass head)
