It's after work hours there so might not get a reply tonight

Meanwhile, I'm getting ready to make my call on Kirby's Dream Land, it's just a matter of whether it's going to replace Power Rangers as the new south-side Terminator Line game. I think it's probably good enough for it

Jack Kirby's 2nd tour of duty at Marvel.

It's part of the Switch Online lineup. It looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. At least I hope so.

Unexpected Bonus Week concludes with the last Nintendo-published American SNES release.

+ Simple but original falling-block mechanics. Might make an ideal introduction to the genre for young children. Zen-like gameplay.
- Too easy. Versus mode sucks.

+ It's Puyo Puyo! It's fine! Probably the best-looking 16bit version of Puyo Puyo, a high-tension puzzler
- It's Puyo Puyo! It's problematic! Knock-outs can be too fast

+ Fun, original concept that's never been replicated. Level (puzzle?) design is incredibly thoughtful. Never gets boring.
- I wish you could switch angles.

Kirby's Dream Course has LEGS. This is a concept that indie developers might want to tinker with and refine. I know that quirky golf is a thing right now, but that's the thing about Dream Course: the quirk actually takes a back seat to elegant, precision gameplay.

I've never had a hole-in-one on the 8th hole of the first course. This 9 matches my best score ever.

I'll take it.

I just really love Kirby's Dream Course. I think this is a concept with legs. Imagine what, with today's horsepower and graphics, you could do with this now. Wow.

This does look like a Wonder Woman/Voodoo mash-up, but Ryan's art is always fantastic.

He's a natch for Kirby's characters as well...

Kirby's Dream Courses started development as an entirely different game called Special Tee Shot.

And I have a copy. Let's try it really quick!

Samurai Kirby is the same mini game that's in Kirby's Adventure that's basically a quick-draw duel.

Been there. Done that. 1 for 6.

Can we just talk about just how ADORABLE some of Kirby's Copy Abilities are?! 🥺

Snowy day out! Kirby's built a snowman with his friends — but he took it quite literally, and Meta Knight's not having it...

TBF the final boxart also used art from the anime. Heck, IIRC the anime was made to promote the game, hence why Nightmare is the series' central antagonist despite only ever appearing in Kirby's Adventure and NiDL (which is just a remake of Adventure).

This ones from Kirby's Triple Deluxe, I really enjoyed coloring the stalk~

So fun fact: I originally wanted to give Gooey Swordsman a red cloak, but I thought it looked too Christmas-y. I also wanted to give him a red hat for the Sword Ability (as a reference to Red Link, since Kirby's hat is a reference to Link himself) /1

First you draw a circle, then you dot the eyes.
Add a great big smile, and presto, it's Kirby!

I saw 's video and then I saw the OG video from Kirby's Adventure and I wanted to just do for fun brush strokes.
