Oh this is getting interesting! Doing some more research and there's a collision map and a regular tile map for the final rendered sprites to overlay! It looks like the collision map was used to get a Z position of Mario, or some representation of that. Iiiinteresting

blackwashing doesn't exist when there's little to no representation for black people in media.

whitewashing does because there's plenty of white characters. Also, making her white /=/ "making her pretty" she was pretty before, you're just racist.

Change the hair color not skin.
