This pipe unit is foregrounded and silhouetted (lighting) so not going into crazy detail, just focussing on its profile. Using Blender hard-ops for that nice non-destructible bevel function. Working from concept.

Now it's my favorite step, the shading and lightning! First I choose where my light is, and then I pick a cold color and use from one to three (in this case it's two) multiply layer for the foreground and the background each. I use a hard brush, then blend, then texturise.

I think it was something like this? Did a version overtop the thumbnail to refine the shapes, with layers separated out for different parts (back/mid/foreground trees, ground, leaves, house, etc). I may have done that in b/w first and painted in colors once it was all separated.
