I first ventured into BL about 10 years ago probably, looking back some series I’ve read def weren’t it.
But the early 2000s & 2010s weren’t all bad. I was obsessed with these series & still think they hold up well for what they are.

Like there were plenty of "bad" indie horror stuff that came out from the 2010s, even the kid appealing "thing you know but evil" stuff.

Only a handful of single-player RPG survived during the late 2000s and most of the 2010s - usually big series like Chinese Paladin, Xuan-Yuan Sword, Fantasia Sango and GuJian.

They got many praises for their stories, but were often considered outdated next to foreign RPGs. :/
