Who would like to see a J.M.W. Turner study day in Twickennham next year comprising of a series of lectures on the great artist? Turner lived locally at Brentford, Isleworth, Hammersmith & Twickenham. He regularly fished the rivers Thames & Brent and sketched/ painted the area.
A little bit of J.M.W Turner on the Thames. In his lifetime Turner lived locally at Isleworth, Brentford, Hammersmith and Twickenham. in 2020 he will appear on the new £20 note alongside his most famous painting, The Fighting Temeraire.

Favourite object from the Layton Collection has to be the "Brentford Horn Cap", a beautiful #Celtic design #IronAge chariot fitting, probably found in the Thames near #Brentford, dated between 100BC – 50AD. Now kept at the Museum of London. #Museum30 https://t.co/AKBXeEiETq
