I redrew my character based on the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue. I was planning to make her a natlan OC just waiting for what the visions look like #genshinoc
Chalchiuhtlicue, Goddess of Water, became the Sun for the fourth world.
She loved her humans very much!
Aww❤️
But, Tezcatlipoca, accused her love for her humans to be fake!
Chalchiuhtlicue, got so broken hearted, she cried blood for 52 years and drowned the entire world🥲
The woman also has two black stripes painted on her cheeks. They are the “hua” stripes painted on the cheeks of Chalchiuhtlicue, and are symbols of fertility. The two stripes together suggest the union of the couple, and the beauty they will bring together into the world

If they move about the surface they do so nocturnally as the sunlight burns their skin. The stone people still worship Chalchiuhtlicue as their true sun and believe Tonatiuh to be a usurper. For this reason, their principal city of Yavi has a giant statue of this goddess.
Also speaking of food, I want to mention these two #Aztec goddesses, #Huixtocihuatl (of salt water) and #Chalchiuhtlicue (of fresh water). Together with #Chicomecoatl the goddess of corn, they form the essential sustenance for the Aztecs: salt, fresh water and food.
The fourth sun was Chalchiuhtlicue, goddess of water & storms, & also Tlaloc's new wife. When Black Tezcatlipoca accused her of faking her love for humans, she wept for fifty-two years, causing a flood that drowned all life on earth. #MythologyMonday
Spring's end 🌼
Capri and Chalchiuhtlicue enjoying tea together. This took so long that jacarandas aren't even in bloom anymore in Mexico City haha
From my other story that takes place 500 years after Codex Black.
Chalchiuhtlicue 🌊- A water Goddess who symbolized the purity and preciousness of spring, river, and lake water that was used to irrigate the fields.
