Our Snow White Cichlid (Pseudotropeus Socolofi) for This red-eyed lady broods her young in her mouth from eggs till small fry. Fits of “white fish.” Named Q-Tip because she is white and was not much larger than the tip of a Q-tip when we got her.

Oceanus "Oshie" Nanti is a 24 y/o Convict Cichlid Mermaid. He comes from a rich family but you couldn't interrogate that info out of him. They spend most of their time on land, 'making' $$$ and goofing off. He's known for being a smooth talking, selfish, extroverted party animal.

I have put together some of my previous illustrations for today's theme on busy fish. We have the migratory salmonids, Jaw fish busy digging their nests, Malawi cichlids well known for mouth brooding and Agassiz's cichlid busy in parenting and baby care!!!

M is for Maingano cichlids!
This week's theme was "Fish starting with the first letter of your name". There are so many M cichlids, but the bright stripes on Maingano are definitely a standout. This is a male, identifiable by yellow egg spots on it's anal fin!
