The make-up and costumes of Blade Runner, whilst attempting to be futuristic, are very 1980s. However, the film creates a look of its own and manages to combine film noir with science fiction. It’s a great book and a great film

So tonight’s classic movie is Blade Runner. It’s 40 years old this year, released in June 1982, and is based on Philip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? It’s set in Los Angeles in 2019 🤷‍♀️
