Triassic Archosaurs are just so unique considering the convergent evolution that would later be taken by their dinosaurian relatives in the later Jurassic and Cretaceous. What catches my eye is just the diversification into familiar yet bizarre forms of life. Their all so unique.

First image is a wonderful illustration by the talented artist . Long ago in the ancient wetlands of Spain, during the Early Cretaceous. A Concavenator corcovatus warns off another of it's kind from some remains of an unknown dinosaur. Indeed Concavenator is different

Phytoliths are tiny bits of silica found in grasses. The discovery of them, including phytoliths from Oryzoideae, the rice family, in fossilized dino dung from India puts the beginning of evolution of grasses during the Cretaceous. Grasslands would appear millions of years later.

Today for my own mental health I'm only talking about dinosaurs.

This is Acrocanthosaurus. It's a North American Carcharodontosaur from the early Cretaceous. https://t.co/Ip9N86P2oT

I haven't drawn a Tyrannosaurus rex in so long... I really need to do one again with the skills I have now. I think I might soon. I'm just not a huge fan of the Tyrant Lizard to be honest. I love the herbivores over the carnivores of the Cretaceous.
