[LRT] what is it with obscure mid-90s fighting games and having the most fucking banger character designs known to man like holy shit

I desperately want to get into the mask-making business. Just LOOK at these absolute beauties!
Original and extremely rare masks from the early to mid-90s by illusive Concepts. Not sure they're still in business, but I would just KILL for that three-faced Pumpkin one!
The bodybuilding Nice brothers usually rough up the players, but goth chick Yuka thinks they're a laugh.
(Yuka has such a neat, very mid-90s style. She looks like she could be a Sailor Moon villain!)
@iexisttbh1207 From 2002-2007, when FE was first introduced to the west, we got 5 different games that all shared very similar visual designs. For a lot of people, this period cemented "what FE should look like" in their minds.
That is to say, FE looked like a generic mid-90s fantasy anime.
While I like all those games that try to look like old NES games, is there a way we can also try to recreate the style of that sweet spot in the early to mid-90's when they were trying to look like playable cartoons/comic books?
Alright, out-of-left-field fanart time:
Classic Magic: The Gathering cards, but cartoony!
Yes, MTG is still HUGE, but man, that mid-90's Revised/4th Edition era nostalgia, I'd love to re-live that. Hoping for a Shivan Dragon or a Royal Assassin in a booster, good times :)
@SonicRush2112 Cat & Mouse and Silver Storm are Steven Butler's earliest ones, from 1990. Also some Web of Spider-Man stuff in the mid-90s. There's a ton of stuff listed on his comicbookdb page.

"Could it be... I'm not the only one who's nervous?"
The way he was nervous about sharing a hot spring pool back then in Valentine SP MQ but now he be casually get into the pool butt-naked with her 😂
I guess he got... really into it 👀
Going into a hot zone with dollops of lovely mid-90s FMV in early PSX arcade flight sim Warhawk.

During Lionsgate Home Entertainment's brief time releasing SatAM VHS tapes and DVDs, they actuality re-released 2 VHS tapes from the mid-90s with redrawn artwork!
The only difference is that the episode Sonic Boom was replaced with Harmonic Sonic for the Sonic Racer re-release.
