Bob Doucette had so much fun creating his fittingly fanciful ode to Fragonard's 18th-century masterpiece that the contemporary artist has created close to 30 new paintings paying tribute to various other iconic classics!!!!

Lovely visit to the . Their main collection (free to visit) is exceptional. And their current special exhibition on 18th century French art which inspired was fascinating. Hadn't spotted Fragonard's The Swing's (in Wallace's main collection) cameo in Frozen.

It's Jean-Honoré Fragonard's birthday in 1732. 'The Swing' was a commission handed to Fragonard by another artist who thought the subject was indecent. It's now his most celebrated painting and viewed as a masterpiece of the rococo style.
