Lifelong ASM guy but Mark Bagley's 90s run made me quit for a time. Years later, Dark Crystal concept artist Brian Froud illustrated a novelty book dubbed "Pressed Fairies" and I quickly realized all those poor, squished pixies were making Bagley faces as they died. The horror!

I've always been influenced by Jim Henson/Brian Froud. They were at one point the pinnacle of fantasy for me, and many characters of Aeres are influenced by them. If you like fantasy, watch the Dark Crystal. There will be something you can take from it I guarantee!

pixies are all too rare nowadays.

These merry little folks (though credited with many a frolicsome gambol) are seemingly very shy of disporting themselves at the present day.

They are much more retiring than was the case years agone.

Happy Halloween, Samhain and the turning of the Celtic year from Myth & Moor. The veils between the world grow thin tonight, so be careful out there. Carry salt in your pocket to protect from faery mischief, and an acorn for good luck in the year ahead. (Art by Brian Froud.)
