Day 20 of Doggust brings us the Saint Bernard.m, and the breed stems from St. Bernard Pass on the Italian-Swiss Border where they were used as rescue dogs.

On Doggust day 15 we find the Japanese Akita. The most famous dog of the breed may be Hachikō, who would follow his owner to and from the train station, and kept waiting at the station after his owner passed away.

Day 14 of Doggust we find the Border Collie. These dogs were originally bread to herd sheep and other livestock. They’re known for being very intelligent and trainable.
