Pastel Paleotober Day 4: Hesperornis 🍋

Hesperornis was an aquatic bird that swam the same sea as Archelon. Unlike penguins, which use their wings to propel themselves, Hesperornis evolved from foot-propelled divers, leading to reduction of their wings over evolutionary time.

A quick sketch of 's hesperornis Friend. The hesperornis is an ancient toothed bird that provided evidence for the theory of evolution. A set of fossil got delivered to the wrong person and helped start the Bone Wars and thus the discovery of plenty of dinosaurs.
