Art’s dad worked as an agent for the Anglican Archbishop of Cashel (that was a serious connection in 18th C Ireland) & he & his son were left £100 by the Right Reverend, which they rapidly invested in the black stuff, opening a brewery (1755) in Leixlip on the River Liffey.
