The gut has particularly low diversity for a strictly herbivorous bird. We find faecal samples are dominated by Escherichia-Shigella coli, but also Tyzzerella sp. and Streptococcus gallolyticus! Thanks Sarah Maybe Little for this amazing cartoon💚
