Nearly forgot to post this! I did a pose study and it turned into the first illustration of Kimera, one of Dr. Lovecraft's little creatures. Before this I just used him for playing around with Picrew when I was bored but I never had actually drawn him myself.

Lovecraft wrote 'unfathomable' horrors which are difficult to depict in film or conventional artistic portraits, which has illustrations as a perilous task, but Michael Whelan's covers for Lovecraft's re-issues were adequate to express eldritch mayhem and esoteric geometry.

I already knew "Quake" had always influenced a lot from H.P. Lovecraft's works (Shub-Niggurath). However I never knew that officially other Lovecraft Elder Gods exist. Guess who Cthalha and The Lurching King represent.

Had a chance to slither in (like a tentacle, get it!) to Lovecraft's Untold Stories sequel a day early. Eerie setting with a flood of monsters and some interesting combat mechanics. TONS of loot and can't wait to see more story!

Some of the things I discussed on the Problem History of Speculative Fictions panel from last night includes Alan Moore's deconstruction of Harry Potter in League Century, Moorcock's essay Starship Stormtroopers, Spinrad's Iron Dream, and Lovecraft's 1937 letter. https://t.co/ilNg9LzdDG
