Ah yes, I too saw Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit. (Basara is even a well-written Korra, a woman with insane shoulder-muscles who's looking to fix her lifelong mistakes.)
Of the things I've watched this year, #Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit was one of the best. It's rare to have a female protag in a shonen #anime, and this was done INCREDIBLY well. Props for the diverse art direction, strong character designs, and the insane background artists.
