First rotoscopetest with a Muybridge timeseries horse with the Mighty Mouse. Afraid this will need a cel layer approach to separate various entities. The three ears are a wellcome surrealistic SD gift

CHRONOPHOTOGRAPHY
Muybridge photographed a variety of different birds: American eagle: cockatoo and chicken to name three. Imagine taking clear pictures of flying birds to study their motion in flight.

Here, is the cockatoo. https://t.co/ESBtJHe05N

Marey's mobile camera allowed the birds to be followed easily. Simply by aiming his gun at the flying birds, Marey was able to place twelve exposures along the outer edge of the plate.

Pictured is Eadweard Muybridge’s Cockatoo 1884. https://t.co/X5a7jlffD3

This is what Muybridge first made visible through his inventive genius.
Before that, humans painted unrealistic depictions of horses in motion. Like Géricault here:

Born in 1830, Eadweard Muybridge is best known as the inventor of the zoopraxiscope, a device that projected still images in rapid succession. A controversial figure in his time, Muybridge would contribute to the burgeoning film industry. https://t.co/qjVfJy6wev
