The short-range models are in a strong agreement that a strong MCS (Thunderstorm Complex) will strike the Vegas area Wednesday night. Looks like a doozy!

HRRR, NAM3k, FV3, and ARW models all show it.

the 06z HRRR run has a round of Orographic daytime storms, followed by an MCS from Utah closer to midnight. Bring it on!

ECMWF has been pretty consistent in showing a major monsoon surge next week.

Dewpoints over 70 degrees extending as far as Las Vegas! If it does verify, the air in the desert will feel like the tropics.
Likely some serious Monsoon storms and heavy downpours as well.
