This sculpture head from #Neolithic #Karahantepe remains one of the most fascinating pieces coming from there so far.
The resemblance to one of "miniature masks" we uncovered at #GöbekliTepe is remarkable.
What could this emphasised forehead mean? Hair, scarification, a tattoo? https://t.co/eC7Y7IVZNt
I'll round it off with a personal favourite and some speculation: Beipiaosaurus.
B. was a therizinosaurid from china, and the only specimen with melanosomes preserved was a juvenile. The colours on the neck feathers were revealed to be brown. (art PaleoNeolithic)

"Give me a strong, dangerous #aurochs, horns full frontal. Make it run!" - "And ow about a slain ox? Obviously: tongue out, legs stretched. Totally dead."
West Kennet Long Barrow in Wiltshire is within the Stonehenge and Avebury World Heritage Site and is one of the largest Neolithic chambered tombs in Britain.
The reconstruction illustrates the long barrow under construction around 3,650BC.

Malva redesign, decided to keep her as a separate species. Thinking about turning her into an orc, maybe when I experiment with her design again I'll follow through. Kept most of her clothing design relatively the same, just more neolithic. Probably my favorite redesign so far.
The Bell Beaker culture represents a vast multicultural network within which a variety of new artefacts, customs & ideas were exchanged & spread. The Bell Beaker period marks the transition from the Late Neolithic to the Early Bronze Age. [Fig. #ArchIllu]

The level of tech is roughly neolithic/bronze age, so I wanted to go with lots of furs. There was great debate if his fox fur should have the head still on or not.
The second sketch is from an earlier point in history where a city very similar to our modern world existed.
Artist Alan Sorrell is best remembered for his castle reconstructions but his paintings of prehistory were equally evocative
This recreation of Tinkinswood Neolithic barrow #BroMorgannwg @cadwcymru now in @Museum_Cardiff @AmgueddfaCymru is absolutely glorious 🤩

@DanHerb10 Compared to the Neolithic, the Iron Age can be quite modest and unassuming
