Nick Spencer had Peter planning to propose to Mary Jane in his Spider-Man run. In "Beyond", Peter and M.J. were going to live together. Marvel, C.B. Cebulski, Nick Lowe and others threw it all away in favor of Zeb Wells' run. What a shame.
