John Ridley’s run of Black Panther truly want good. Ruined Wakanda basically selling off one of it’s people, Captain America having a terrible role that made no sense to his character and ruined a great relationship with T’Challa and Ororo. do better with the next run.

I enjoyed Coates’ Black Panther run, it ended on a high for me.

But Ridley’s is really not to my liking. Why the deconstructionist take? Why all the internecine fighting? The political commentary feels very thin and so does the character work.

At least the covers are pretty.

I really like this Godzilla metamorphosis concept. It’s cool to take an iconic monster & show how alien their biology really is. Kinda reminds me of Ridley’s larval forms in “Metroid: Other M,” one of the few cool aspects in the game.
