Arcade original. Fighter jet-based resembles Sonic Wings/Aero Fighters. Studio was formed by former Toaplan employees and it shows! It's nice despite receiving mixed reviews back then.

The last one, I think. It's another shmup, but this time you're a robot on foot throwing shurikens. You can jump to avoid bullets, so at least your defensive options aren't limited to having to weave around, but it's still a bullet-hell.

Like the first game, this is just a straight-up bullet hell. Immediately the screen becomes completely spammed with enemies and leaves you with no room to maneuver.

I can dig a well made shmup, but bullet hells ain't my thing.

Gunbird 2 is a fun shmup, in it you can play as a girl named Tavia who is looking for medicine for her mom. Looks like the medicine worked really well.

It was a short shmup, and an unconventional one at that, a kind of 3d shoot'em up. It had innovative controls and mechanics, although hard to grasp at times imo. One of the directors is best known for No More Heroes and Killer7, studio Bones is also involved in the game
