Today we celebrate 100 years since the Representation of the People Act 1918 which gave women over 30 who owned property the right to vote (it also gave men over 21 the right to vote with no property restrictions).

100 years ago today, some women got the right to vote. It wasn't about power over men, it was about equality. It still is. We have a long way to go to achieve true equality but there's some fantastic women and men supporting this agenda.
