TowerFall Ascension is a game made by the creator of Celeste, and it's excellent. It's basically a Smash Bros sort of experience. If you ever find yourself in a situation where you're in the same room with somebody you like, this is a great use of your time.

TOWERFALL ASCENSION recalls the good ol' days of couch multiplayer w/ the perfect physics to make the one-screen enemy waves perfect for co-op AND versus. Equally a skill test ala Joust + Mario Bros and a hilarious pastime, this was the best multiplayer game I played this decade.

I played almost no multiplayer video games in the 2010s; they're just not really my thing.

But one that I DID play, which is so fun that it might be one of my top 10 games of the decade, is TOWERFALL ASCENSION. This is insanely fun couch multiplayer if you're into that.
