Today our extraordinary woman is Mary Shelley (1797–1848), daughter of women’s rights advocate and writer, Mary Wollstonecraft. Between 1816 and 1817, Shelley worked on her novel Frankenstein in Bath. In 1818 the novel was published anonymously in London.
