Nenad Mirkovich was born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. Mirkovich's desire to express his artistic side led him to begin drawing and painting as a young boy. While working as a portrait painter and magazine illustrator in Yugoslavia, Mirkovich began to receive public acclaim.
